FOOD part II

I mentioned the eggs-they are called 1000 year old eggs, and I spoke to soon, because just a few hours after typing about it, it was in front of us at our dinner table. It was chopped up and served cold over chunks of tofu. Danny was shocked that I dished some of it up, but I will have to say that it wasn't as bad as I thought, but everytime I think of it now, I gag a bit in my throat!

The other thing that we saw yesterday that we swore we didn't want to try was this strange fish dish. And Stella ordered both of these things for us-not knowing we had talked about it. Ironic, eh? The fish is cut in a strange way and deep fried so that it looks decorative. They call it "Squirrel Fish" because it looks like it has puffed up fur around it when it is cooked up this way. I was going to die! Plus, it was after we had already eaten quite a few other dishes when they brought this out.

But, big shocker here-it was actually really good. Danny ate more than half of it by himself, only after Stella, Mr Tang and myself had a serving. We took a good walk after this dinner and feel just fine now!

I'm so proud of you! I don't know if I could have gagged down the egg...did it stink?

Wow! Just looking at the eggs makes me sick to my stomach. What did it taste like? I think I'd be craving a "real" american style Big Mac. I can't decide if I'd lose weight there or gain.

So I think I will just stick to my apple pie caramel apple instead. I think your experience is one of a kind. Thanks for posting I like seeing all of the things your doing.
