Lodging

We had a great apartment in Paris. It was a newer building and Michel, the man who lives there was so kind and picked us up from the subway station. He showed us around and then left. We were so comfortable there. It was a great place to cook meals, watch a movie in the evening, or lounge around and read a book.

Here is the kitchen. Everything was so EFFICIENT. I guess in small spaces you have to be inventive in ways to best use every corner. This kitchen has a refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher all in this one bank of cupboards.

We went from Paris to Munich, and then 45 minutes more to Landshut, Germany where Tania's family lives. We were so excited to meet up with Tania and Josephine. Especially the girls who haven't seen each other for 6 weeks!

We stayed at the Hotel Insel. It was a charming 3 story building with a restaurant on the bottom floor, and rooms on the second two floors.

Our room had a double bed and single bed in the room, and two more couches in the living room that fold out to beds and a large bathroom. We were right in between a river that splits in two, so we had the calming sound of running water on both sides of us.

It was great to be in back in Germany, but this time with people that can translate for us!
