So most of you know I have been passionate about a certain high school basketball team for the past 4 years. Tonight my Omaha Central Eagles won their 3rd straight State basketball title. I was with them on courtside for the past 3 years. Tonight I had to watch streaming video on my computer alone in my office as they narrowly won. I was so nervous, my heart was pounding, hands were shaking and then I let out a scream when time was up and my boys won. 4 of the starting players I worked with when they were 14/15 year old freshman, and now to see them as seniors was a thrill.
I was heart sick for Omaha all day. As happy as I am here, I miss my life there, and Central Basketball was a HUGE part of it. They sent their love back to me through a text message after the game and it made my heart happy again. I can't wait to go visit next month, my old boss said he has a "Triple Crown" shirt waiting for me!
